Calendula officinalis, also known as pot marigold, has been used for centuries for wounds, cuts, scrapes, chapped or chafed skin, bruises, burns, insect bites and bee stings, rashes, and other minor irritations of the skin. This versatile botanical is also gentle enough to use on children and animals. We do not use extracts in our product either. We infuse pounds and pounds of actual flower petals directly into our oils. By using organic flowers, Satya supports organic farmers and bees. Bees that are vital to our lives and our economy as pollinators of our food supply. Besides who wants chemicals on their flowers OR on their skin?

Organic Cold Pressed Sweet Almond Oil

Sweet almond oil is high in vitamin E, zinc and is a natural anti-inflammatory. It also softens and helps skin retain it’s natural moisture. However, not all almond oil is the same. In the US, since 2007, all non organic almonds are sprayed with a chemical called PPO (propylene oxide). PPO is a suspected carcinogen and in fact, most countries, including the EU, ban imported nuts treated with PPO. It is so nasty that it was banned for use as a fuel additive. Our certified organic sweet almond oil is from steam pasteurized almonds. No engine fuel, pesticides, GMO, or similar poisons. Certified organic is the only way to go.

Organic Bees Wax

Beeswax protects and moisturizes the skin. It also has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiviral benefits. Also, almonds are also 100% dependent on bees for pollination. Hardly makes sense to kill off vital partners in creating Satya Skin Care does it? No to neonicotinoids!

Organic Cold Pressed Jojoba Oil

Jojoba closely resembles our skin’s own natural oils and is also high in antioxidants. Jojoba is also an anti inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-fungal and great moisturizer. Although I could not find a specific reason for going organic with the jojoba, I believe it is better to be safe and go 100% organic and all natural.

Oatmeal has been used for centuries as a soothing agent to relieve itch and irritation. Oats are rich in beta-glucans, which can reduce skin inflammation, activate immune cells and stimulate your skins collagen. They are also rich in saponins, which are chemical compounds found in plants These saponins give oatmeal cleansing, moisturizing and soothing qualities that are wonderfully nourishing.
